Doctors

Dr Natalie Taft
Special interests: counselling, travel and preventative medicine
Dr Natalie Taft graduated from Monash University Medicine in 1985. She completed a certificate in Family Planning in 1989 and worked in the Department of Community Medicine, Monash University, during which time she was involved with teaching medical students. Natalie joined Glen Iris Medical Group in 1992 and became a partner in 1995.

Dr Jane Healy
Special interests: women’s health and paediatrics
Dr Jane Healy graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2001 and obtained FRACGP in 2008. Jane worked in general practice in Tasmania prior to joined the practice in 2009. Jane became a partner of the practice in 2014.

Dr Lisa Prichard
Special interests: paediatrics, women’s health and travel medicine. Accredited for Implanon contraception device
Dr Lisa Prichard graduated from Monash University Medicine in 1986 and has completed her Certificate of Training in Family Medicine. Lisa joined the practice in 1993.

Dr Sharon Woolf
Special interests: women's health, menopause
Dr Sharon Woolf graduated from Monash University Medicine in 1977 and gained her fellowship of the RACGP in 1986. Sharon established Glen Iris Medical Group in 1981. She serves on the Cabrini Human Research Ethics Committee.

Dr Jenny Butterley
Special interests: women’s health, paediatrics, travel medicine and men’s health
Dr Jenny Butterley graduated from Monash University Medicine in 1985. After working in Hospitals and general practice in Melbourne, Jenny worked in the United Kingdom from 1988 to 1989. She gained her FRACGP in 1993, and has a Certificate of Family Planning. Jenny joined the practice in 1992.

Dr Meredith Day
Special interests: women’s health, paediatrics, and preventative health
Dr Meredith Day graduated from Monash University in 1989. Meredith joined GIMG in 2006. Meredith also has a keen interest in surgical assisting.

Dr Jadwiga Kapusta
Special interests: women’s health, paediatrics, ENT, and general medicine. Accredited for Implanon contraceptive device
Dr Jadwiga Kapusta graduated from Jagiellonian University Krakow, Poland in 1986, and gained her FRACGP 2003. Jadwiga joined the practice in 2010.

Dr Min Teo
Special interests: child/adolescent health, chronic disease management, sexual health, gay men's health and counselling and palliative care. Accredited for implanon insertion.
Dr Min Teo graduated from Auckland University in 2007 and obtained his FRACGP in 2014. He has many further qualifications including diplomas of child health and palliative care.

Dr Pearl Mak
Special interests: women's and children's health, Accredited implanon and IUD insertion.
Dr Pearl Mak graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009. She rotated through a number of metropolitan and rural hospitals before settling into general practice and achieving her FRACGP. She has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health and holds a Diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology (DRANZCOG) and a Certificate of Child health through the University of Sydney. Pearl is also accredited for Implanon and IUD insertion. In her spare time, she likes to keep fit, attempt baking and spends precious time with her husband and two young twin boys.

Dr Sumudu Cooray
Special interests: women’s health, paediatrics & chronic disease management. Accredited for implanon and IUD insertion.
Dr Sumudu Cooray graduated from Monash Health including completion of a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2008, this allows her to offer her patients shared maternity care.
Sumudu is passionate about general practice and has a keen interest in Women’s and Sexual Health and is trained in inserting Implanon and Interuterine Devices (Mirena, Kyleena & Copper IUDs). Sumudu also enjoys paediatrics and has completed a Diploma of Child Health. However, it is the variety and holistic aspects of general practice including chronic disease and preventative medicine that Sumudu truly relishes.
Sumudu also enjoys teaching medical students and in her free time enjoys running around after her four children (and husband!), travel, indulging in good food and watching the mighty Hawthorn Hawks!

Dr Saul Cohen
Saul enjoys all aspects of GP practice and family medicine.
Dr Saul Cohen graduated from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 1991. He spent 10 years in general practice in Napier, New Zealand where he gained his FRNZGP. Saul settled in Melbourne where he worked for 10 more years at a general practice in the city. Saul has particular interests in all aspects of general practice and family medicine. Saul enjoys bike riding & gardening in his free time. Saul will be working everyday other than Tuesday’s.

Dr Matthew Thuy
Matthew enjoys all aspects of GP practice.
Dr Matthew Thuy graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2008. He has worked in a number of public hospitals in Melbourne, Hobart & Sydney and completed his GP Training in 2019. Matthew is interested in all aspects of general practice and can perform procedures such as simple wound repairs, skin excisions and biopsies. Matthew has completed his GPMHSC and is skilled in CBT to treat depression and anxiety. Matthew continues to work at Sandringham Hospital Emergency Department in the ambulatory care centre and the Connect Health COVID-19 pathways.
In his spare time Matthew enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family and friends. Matthew will begin with us on Friday 18th March and will be available on Monday and Friday’s.
Nurses

Peta Bond
Registered nurse and nurse immuniser
Peta has extensive nursing experience and further education and qualifications in wound care, immunisation, ear syringing, health assessments, and chronic disease management. Peta works full time and oversees the nursing services offered at GIMG.

Lesley Pugh
Registered nurse and nurse immuniser
Lesley Pugh completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a Grad. Cert. in Nursing Practice and commenced work in general practice in 2001. Lesley has held roles including Practice Nurse Consultant for a Medical Local, a Telehealth Support Officer, Nurse Support and Education Officer with APNA. Previous roles included the National Timely diagnosis of Dementia Project, the APNA Transition to Practise Pilot program and DHHS as an Infection Control and Prevention nurse in the COVID-19 Outbreak Squad. Lesley is an accredited nurse immuniser, cervical screen provider, experienced in chronic disease management, advocating, educating, and motivating patients to help improve health outcomes. Lesley is passionate about Primary health care.

Tara Burrell
Registered nurse and nurse immuniser
Tara is an experienced practice nurse with qualifications in ear syringing, immunisations, wound care, chronic disease management and health assessments. Tara works part time and has a love for the great outdoors!

Glen Iris Medical Group has experienced significant growth since commencing as a single Doctor practice 34 years ago.
Doctor owned and operated, GIMG proudly fosters a culture of continuing education and supportive peer review. With an extensive specialist network willing to provide small group learning on site, as well as major hospital outreach education, we quickly respond to any new treatment options or knowledge gaps identified by the team.
We support the education of medical and nursing students annually.
Following our significant renovation in 2016, we are looking for new Doctors to join our team.
