Today ATAGI (Australian Technical Group on Immunisation) along with the Federal Government have advised new guidelines:
Astrazeneca vaccine- now recommended for 60 years and older
If you are aged between 50-59 years old and want to still have your first Astrazeneca vaccine you can with informed consent. If you are due for your second dose of Astrazeneca in this age group it is recommended you continue with the Astrazeneca vaccine.
Patients under 59 years eligible for the Pfizer vaccine should ring the Covid hotline 1800 675 398 to make a booking.
