ATAGI’s clincal recommendation is that patients receive their annual influenza vaccine anytime from mid-April onwards to be protected for the peak flu season, which is generally June to September.

Costs and Eligibility
(1) a – Health Care card holders/Pension card holders/Commonwealth Senior card holders or children under 16 years of age will not be charged a gap and the account for the consultation will be processed straight through Medicare. There will be a $20.00 charge for the vaccine where appropriate – see 1C
b – Private patients will incur a consultation fee of $30.00, and will receive $17.90 back from Medicare and will be charged $20.00 for the vaccine.
c – All children aged 6 months to less than 5 years, people aged 5 years and over who have certain chronic conditions, all pregnant woman any time during pregnancy and all adults aged 65 years and older are eligible for a FREE Flu vaccine. You may be charged a fee for the consultation depending on your status as stated in 1A.
(2) If you see your Doctor regularly or are due for a review appointment, your doctor can give you an Influenza vaccination at your regular appointment.
(3) If the Flu Clinic times are not convenient please call to book an appointment with any of our Practice Nurses, Peta, Tara or Lesley, all qualified nurse immunisers.
You will be charged a fee of $20.00 for the consultation with the nurse and $20.00 for the vaccine depending on your status as per 1C.

Please note that ATAGI (The Australian Technical Advisory Group of Immunisation) has expanded the recommendation on Covid-19 4th (winter) booster dose. Please click for more information.
Please note that you are able to have your flu vaccination at the same time as the Covid-19 4th dose booster. Please ensure there is a minimum of 3 months between your Covid-19 4th winter dose booster and your last Covid-19 booster or Covid-19 infection. Please note Covid-19 4th dose boosters are only available during clinic times.
*Documentation of the date you received your last Covid-19 booster will be required on the day*
Pfizer Vaccinations are Bulk Billed -Flu Vaccination will be billed separately please see above for costs and eligibility.
