From all at Glen Iris Medical Group we are wishing that you and your family are all safe and well. 2020 has so far been a difficult year for everyone.
The bushfires brought the new year in, followed by hail storms, dust storms and now COVID-19. Our lives have changed and phrases such as social distancing and lockdown, are part of our vocabulary. Schools are now on-line, many now work from home and the roads are quiet.
Melbourne Pathology remains open for patients.
Please don’t delay any pathology requests as management of patient care continues.
Patients are screened at the door to make sure they are feeling well before entering the clinic.
The opening hours are:
Monday—Friday: 8.00am – 4.30pm
Saturday: 8.30am – 12.00pm
Dear Patients
We currently have limited supply of over 65 and reasonable supply of under 65 flu vaccine, and are running regular clinics.
Demand for flu vaccines is much higher than normal years and supply is difficult to obtain and limited.
We are working hard to ensure everyone is protected for flu within the constraints of supply.
By Dr Lisa Prichard
We are thrilled to welcome Esther our new registered nurse to the practice.
Esther is an experienced practice nurse and over the years has obtained several additional qualifications to aid with the nursing services she can provide.
All our patients would be aware of the unprecedented demand for flu vaccine this year.
Practices all over Australia are struggling with demand and supply.
On a good note, however so far flu prevalence is very low. One sixth transmission compared to the same time last year, mostly due our strict social distancing measures.
